Who is the Father of Algebra? Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, often known as Al-Khawarizmi, is the father of algebra. A Muslim Persian mathematician from Khwarazm. Full details:- Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, also known as al-Khwarizmi and formerly Latinized as Algorithmi, was a Persian polymath who created widely important works in mathematics, astronomy, and geography. Around 820 CE, he was appointed as the astronomer and librarian of Baghdad's House of Wisdom.
